Paragraph on global warming
There’s no question that our planet is getting warmer. Over the past century, the average global temperature has risen by more than 1 degree Fahrenheit. And over the next century, it’s projected to rise another 2 to 11 degrees. This may not sound like much, but it can mean big changes for our planet.
A warmer climate means more extreme weather events, like hurricanes, floods, and droughts. It also means melting glaciers and rising sea levels. These changes threaten our food and water supplies, our infrastructure, and even our own health.
So what can we do about it? For starters, we need to curb our emissions of greenhouse gases. That means using less fossil fuel, planting trees, and investing in renewable energy. We also need to adapt to the changes that are already underway. That means building stronger levees, developing drought-resistant crops, and creating early warning systems for extreme weather events.
We face a big challenge, but it’s one we can meet if we work together. Let’s get started!
